Used Ferrari – It Has Become Easier to Afford One
Ferrari was founded way back in 1929 but believe it or not the original plan wasn’t to produce road legal vehicles. In fact at the beginning Ferrari sponsored drivers and produced racing cars very much like they do today in Formula 1. Enzo Ferrari was very reluctant to design and manufacture a Ferrari that was road legal but over the past few decades it has enabled thousands of people to own and drive a supercar.
In recent years it has become easier in terms of affordability to own a Ferrari. This is mainly because more people have purchased a Ferrari and eventually these cars are sold onto the second hand car market. Don’t be fooled though second hand Ferraris are still more expensive than most new cars produced by other manufacturers even the likes of Mercedes Benz and Porsche. One of the most affordable Ferrari’s is the Modena priced at around £40,000 depending on the age and condition of the car. However certain pre-owned Ferrari’s have actually increased in price due to the limited number of models that were made. Used Ferrari’s don’t depreciate that much which is great news in some ways for second hand owners because you could sell the car a few years later with a limited amount of loss.
Although a limited number of Ferrari supercars are produced it is surprising there is an interesting range of used Ferraris available, but it all depends on the preferences you have. For example if you want security then Ferrari offer 12 months warranty if the car has been pre-owned and is under 10 years old. However cars under 10 years old are usually more expensive but there is always the option of finance which most dealers offer such as Sytner.
There is an array of used Ferrari supercars under 10 years old, prices of which range from £40,000 to £330,000. Ferrari models that seem to be widely available include 360M, 575M, 599 Coupe and the F430 all of which are all fantastic supercars. Of course prices range for each of these models. A 6 year old 360M can be around £50,000 whereas a 2003 575M is priced over £10,000 more than this. The F430 costs over £80,000 and the Ferrari 599 Coupe is by far the most expensive costing over £130,000. This may seem like a lot of money to part with but these cars are fantastic to drive and there is usually finance offers available.
We all know that Ferrari is a fantastic car designer and manufacturer. Although these supercars don’t come cheap there are a few options in order to be able to afford one. Depreciation value isn’t bad either and there is a great choice of used Ferrari’s out there. Check out your local Sytner dealer for more details.
