I have owned many different vehicles in my life and did not begin customizing them with rims and tires until around 2006. My first set of custom rims were a set of 24 inch rims that I put on my 2006 Dodge Charger. I fell in love so quickly that I have never had a car or truck without rims on it ever since.

I think what I love about riding around on over sized rims and tires so much is the attention and stares that they garner. There is just something about having a set of big chrome wheels on your car that makes people stop and stare. However, about two months into enjoying my rims I began to notice that there were certain things about having rims on my car that were not so beneficial to the overall performance of my vehicle.

On of the first problems that I began to notice was that the wheel well on my car was far too small for the size rims that I had placed on it. I could not continue to ride around on these rims every day. The solution was to simply drive more carefully. I could not go over as many speed bumps and I had to be very weary of pot holes.

The next problem that I had was continuously getting flat tires, which I thought buying more expensive tires would solve but did not. The problem was that I was driving the car too much too have custom rims on it. Experience has taught me one important lesson. If you want to customize your car or truck with over sized rims and tires you should not drive that car everyday. It is as simple as that.

I am a college student who loves writing and cars. My favorite car accessory would have to be my 26 inch Rims If you are interested in car accessories or learning about it, here’s a great site for you.
