When you purchase a used vehicle, most dealers will have you sign an “As Is” form.
As Is is a legal term used to disqualify any implied warranties for a vehicle being sold. “As Is” indicates that a seller is selling and a buyer is buying a vehicle in whatever condition that it is in, and that the buyer is accepting the vehicle with all that is wrong with it, whether it is immediately apparent or not.
However the phrase “as is” does not disclaim any expressed warranties, such as those created by the seller’s description of a vehicle.
