The meaning of car shipping is the transportation of a vehicle from one origin to another destination. A lot of people these days bring their car with them when moving cross country due to the current economic climate. To bring their car with them they need a shipping company that meets all their requirements for their car shipment.

To ship a car it generally involves loading the car in a container or else truck transportation to ship to the proposed destination. The container service is the most common way of shipping a vehicle as people don’t want the risk of their car getting damaged from the sun, thunder, snow, rain etc. where as with truck transportation it is an open carrier so there is a risk of the car getting damaged from the weather.

Generally a shipping company would provide insurance for your car. In most cases however, the shipping line usually takes care of this automatically. When you leave your car to the shipping company, do a quick inspection of your car before the loading in order to note any damage.
