Driving into town usually entails listening to the radio, thinking about what I have to get done, and wishing red lights would take a day off. Today in a strange twist of fate my radio could only find bad songs and bad opinions so I did something different. I turned the radio off and glanced through my passenger side window, only for a second, as I was admittedly moving and really did not want the car insurance rates that come with a wreck. That is when it happened. The lesson had begun.

Driver number 1: “The maniacal lipstick car destroyer.”
Yes it is true, while driving 40 miles per hour a woman thought that applying lipstick was an appropriate project to undertake. Being in the insurance industry and knowing the damage an out of control car can do at 40mph I hit the gas to get out of the way. I was speeding sure, but I saved my car insurance company from paying a claim. Besides, she may have had more makeup to put on. So I was safely on my way. Or so I thought. Car prices keep going up, most of the time faster than the average person’s salary. What is a person to do if they need transportation and are on a limited budget? It is not impossible to find a car, even a new car, within any budget. It is possible to buy a Cheap Kia, cheap meaning inexpensive not of lower quality. These cars are not stripped down basic models, but cars with features such as MP3 and CD players, safety features such as dual front airbags, side curtain airbags and ABS breaking systems.
