Cars have greatly evolved over the years since their beginnings back in the early 1900′s. Many things have evolved surrounding cars as well, such as the roads they drive on, the distance that they travel, and the demands we have put on cars.

One of the biggest evolutions to cars is hardly visible to the average person. The engine computer, otherwise called the ECM (engine computer module) was developed to help improve many things about the way an engine performs. It’s not just cars which are sold at knockdown prices after being repossessed. There are other types of repossession vehicles which are also sold to the public, namely repossessed trucks.

Many owners of commercial vehicles suffer from struggling to keep up repayments and as a result, their truck or van will be reposed by the loan company. Lenders attempt to try and recover losses as quickly as possible, and don’t want to add to their costs by wasting further funds on storage. The best way for them to do this is to sell the repossessed truck in the fastest time possible at the most reasonable price they can achieve. This means that repossession trucks can be bought at a price which is significantly lower than the market rate. This is unfortunately, bad news for the person whose truck has been repossessed, as it is they who will pay the difference of the outstanding loan back to the lender once the truck has been sold. But where are these vehicles sold? Continue reading ‘Repossessed Trucks’ »

Cars overheat for a host of reasons. Whether you are reading DIY books or going to a mechanic, there is a list of usual suspects that will always be looked at. In most cases, the problem will be found, fixed and your overheating problem will be extinguished. Ah, but what if nothing appears wrong? Well, there is a second list of odd problems that could be the cause.

There is a war going on under your hood. The combatants are many, but two of the key ones are heat and your coolant system. Power is produced in the engine by small explosions. This causes heat that can cripple an engine. The coolant system is designed to go to war against this heat. When the coolant system fails or runs inefficiently, heat can get the upper hand in the battle and ultimately win the battle by killing your engine. So, what sublime problems can lead to overheating? Continue reading ‘Odd Reasons Your Car Might Be Overheating’ »

A few years back I always thought it would be nice to have a place somewhere close to the lake but a cottage was out of the question. To purchase land anywhere on the water would cost more than I will ever have so it seemed like the dream was just that, a dream.

Looking for alternative idea’s I started to look in to Rving. It seemed to be quite popular, much less investment than a cottage and great family fun.

As a child I always loved to go camping, of coarse back then we were just in tents. It just so happened I caught wind of a Camping RV Show coming to our town and I thought maybe I’ll check this out. Continue reading ‘RVing – Great Summer Fun!’ »

Motorcycles can travel the same speeds as automobiles but there is nothing between the motorcyclist and the environment except proper clothing and safety equipment. This means that the potential is high for serious injury or fatality in head impact accidents. Helmets are intended to protect the head from sudden impact against hard surfaces and sharp objects. Some types of helmets do a better job than others.

The great majority of sports helmets are made of fiberglass. While offering some protection, in most cases fiberglass is not strong enough to withstand the kind of shattering impact that can result from a motorcyclist’s head hitting pavement. However, a helmet made from carbon fiber is a different story. Continue reading ‘Carbon Fiber Helmets’ »
