Early morning temperature inversions permit any body of water to release excessive moisture. On a morning ride in river country, the air feels cool yet clinging wet interspersed with wisps of layered fog. These wisps increased when passing the last low point over the river just before ascending toward a plateau.
Ghostly shaped wisp shimmer in the morning sun as passing vehicles create currents of air pulling the mist in alternate directions. This is a peaceful and beautiful part of the day. Many of us have zero money, but this mega thirst for a go kart. The belt drive can be the most cost effect drive system that you could implement, on your low cost cheap go kart.
There are, however, issues with a belt drive that need to be understood prior to just diving in and making this belt drive system.
First thing to understand is the final drive ratio. Is the engine actually going to be able to turn this system or will it stall. Keep in mind that the rpm for engagement is typically not very high, like 1200 rpms. So your calculation needs to reflect that. The HP curve for an engine is approximately linear, so if the rpms are decreased, then the HP needs to decrease accordingly. If you don’t know how to open your car’s hood there is no way that you can do even the simplest of jobs on your car such as check the oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, refilling windshield wiper fluid or checking accessory belts. All of these things are things that you should be able to do on your own without having to depend on or pay someone else to do for you. The encouraging part of this is that opening your car’s hood is pretty straight forward, if you know how to do it. Now one thing to keep in mind is that the hood release may be different in different types of cars. Although the hood release is located in different places from one vehicle to the next, all hood releases work in basically the same manner.
-In newer vehicles the hood release is typically inside the passenger cabin right around the steering column or on the floor next to the driver’s seat. In typically has the word “Hood” printed on it or it is a picture of the car with its hood up. If you pull it and the trunk opens, you’ve pulled the wrong release.
